The opening page to
X-Men #100 showed Nightcrawler as a priest.
This was a dramatic change from his life as an X-Man. It is not without
precedent, however. Nightcrawler has always been deeply religious, and
on occasion mentioned the desire to become a priest. His duties as an
X-Man generally kept him from the calling. Yet, here he was studying to
become a priest. What events lead to this decision?

UncannyX-Men #468; An interesting development Kurt can now exceed his previously
announced max distance. And not by just a little, but by a massive quantity. Though this isn't the first instance of this.
So not sure if the writers are trying to show Kurt has been increasing his range or if Claremont was actually going to be
taking this porting thing somewhere.
